KPop Demon Hunters Takes Over the Fortnite Universe with Demon Rush Game Mode and New Skins
Just a few days ago, Epic Games announced that a collaboration with KPop Demon Hunters would be arriving in Fortnite on Oct. 2. Now, more details about this partnership with Netflix's hit original movie have been shared.
Demon Rush Gameplay: What to Expect
The HUNTR/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey will face waves of demons in the limited-time Demon Rush mode, which is inspired by Fortnite's Horde Rush gameplay. Rumi's Empowered Sword and Zoey's Golden Bubble Shield will be useful for fending off these demons, and bonuses based on the film can be acquired between each survival round. This new mode will begin on Oct. 2 and continue until Nov. 1, perfectly timed with the Halloween period.
Fresh Skins and Accessories
Skins, gear, and dance moves from KPop Demon Hunters will arrive in the in-game store, and players can finish missions from the idols to unlock exclusive rewards like Mira’s X-tra Spicy Ramyeon. Similar to other figures in Fortnite, the K-pop stars have also been turned into Lego versions, with Lego-style models of the three hunters ready for use.
Options for Creators
Fortnite content creators will have fun with the latest update as they can use film-inspired assets, signature gameplay items, terrifying demon foes, and HUNTR/X members. As stated in the announcement, developers can design close-combat maps or remix their existing islands starting October 2.
What’s Next
The arrival of KPop Demon Hunters in Fortnite surely won't be the final you hear of the hunter group. A sequel is likely, and a prequel could also be in the works.
