The Beloved Mascot Kuromi Marks Two Decades with Major Roblox Activation

Sanrio's mischievous punk-rock rabbit mascot, Kuromi, is at last taking center stage this Halloween. To mark the 20th anniversary since Kuromi entered the Hello Kitty and Friends family, Sanrio has teamed up with Roblox, Crocs, Hot Topic, and Liquid Death for extensive festivities both online and offline.

New Gaming Adventure: The Mansion of Mischief

Starting today, players can access a brand-new online minigame called Kuromi's Mischief Mansion, which is located inside the existing Hello Kitty Café Tycoon experience. This release kicks off an intended a yearly spooky season event dedicated to the character. A spokesperson called it the brand's biggest and most elaborate online project to date.

Regarding the gameplay, Mischief Mansion is a twist on the classic hiding game. Players take on one of two roles: those hiding disguise themselves as haunted objects, while seekers assume the role of Kuromi attempting to locate those in hiding. Through participation, users can collect special currency to redeem exclusive decor items in My Hello Kitty Café, along with limited-time surprises and free items.

It's exciting to partner with our partners to honor Kuromi with this special product line. With our Approved Merchandise (“AMP”) program, fans everywhere can join the festivities both on- and off-platform and we know everyone will enjoy what happens in the Mischief Mansion on Roblox now.

Physical Events in Hot Topic Stores

This spooky Halloween chaos is also spilling over into the real world.
